"The recent performance of We've Got Our Eye on You was an unforgettable blend of humor, exceptional character portrayal, and musical brilliance. The entire cast delivered standout performances, fully embodying their roles with a depth that brought Nkeiru Okoye's vibrant characters to life. The opera's humor was a highlight, with each actor contributing to the comedic elements seamlessly, making the show not just a musical journey but a genuinely funny experience for the audience. Musically, the ensemble quartet was particularly impressive, their voices blending beautifully to enhance the opera's narrative richness. Okoye's incorporation of jazz and gospel elements did wonders for character development, adding layers of vivacity and relatability. Noteworthy moments included Perseus's hilariously inappropriate aria, which brilliantly played with audience expectations, and Deino's "confession aria," a touching piece that showcased the emotional range of the opera. In sum, this production was a masterful showcase of talent, humor, and musical innovation, making it a must-see for all."

"What a fun night seeing this funny, poignant, creative production! I laughed out loud, felt empathy for the characters on their individual emotional journeys, and once again in a TSOC opera production, was astounded by the vocal talent in the cast. There is not a weak link or a dull moment in this fun show, and the cast fit together just perfectly. No detail was left to chance, and the three sisters with very different soprano voices clicked in their multiple trios so well that I couldn’t identify who was singing which part in the harmony. Definitely recommend you see this gem of opera creativity while you can! One of the best TSOC choices of opera yet! I’m in a great mood after seeing opening night tonight! Who knew opera could be this much fun?"
